We have received news that Silver River tv are currently producing a show for BBC2 called Twiggy's Fashion Trade, you could have a chance of taking part in the show, Interested?  Here's some more info about the show......

Where can a girl go to get a brand new look without spending a penny?

Twiggy’s Fashion Trade is a new 3 part series for BBC2 which taps into the latest trend for clothes swapping parties.  So many of us have wardrobes full of decent clobber that we never wear so what better than to get rid of the old stuff and replace it with new, all for free?

In the age of disposable style and the credit crunch there is a growing desire to spend less and ease our environmental consciences whilst still having fun with fashion.   

From Primark to Prada, vintage to Versace, each week Twiggy and her team of experts will host a party inviting celebrities and up to a hundred women to swap clothes and accessories with each other. Partygoers will get fashion advice to help them make the perfect swap as well as the best styling, hair and make-up to ensure they leave looking and feeling a million dollars.

Part event, part factual, Twiggy’s Fashion Trade is every girl’s dream show packed full of beautiful clothes, amazing transformations, human interest stories, gorgeous information rich VTs and a practical guide to styling and customising clothes across all ages and bodyshapes.

The Overall Mood

Spring Summer 2008 is colourful, joyous and feminine. The heavy hardy winter clothes have been ushered out by wisps of summer, and neons billow and twirl into our fashion sphere.

The mood is upbeat and the direction is reminiscent of parts of Ancient Greece – gentle, drapey, ruched and flowing.  

Current trends from Autumn 07 remain and evolve – the cinched waist, the focus on the shoulder, the belt, the big bag and the vertigo-inducing shoes, but they have been given a new feeling of lightness in both colour and feel.

Key Styles

·         Key fabric - sheer

·         Key detailing - ruched, collars and belts

·         Key item - headscarf

·         Key garment - cocktail dress

·         Key shoes - platform

Colour

• Purple in all its hues
• Black & white stripes
• Neons - impossibly loud oranges, yellows, greens, blues and pinks

KEY THEMES

Chunky bangles, ankle-cuffs and über-chic, ultra-large Jackie O glasses were prevalent. Shoes remain worryingly high even featuring a perilous 13-centimetre heel.  We see sheer cuffs and scarves, and also black and white bags with humbug-inspired shoes. The oversize bag appears in neon. Graphic prints and metallics also maintain their influence.
